What are Salons?
The Historical Significance of French Salons

In the 17th and 18th centuries, French salons emerged as vibrant hubs of intellectual and cultural exchange, distinguished by a noteworthy feature: they were predominantly orchestrated by women.

Invitation to Imagine

Imagine a beautiful living room filled with women thinkers and artists you admire. What would you ask them? What would you want to talk about? Most importantly, how would this make you feel? Picture elegant parlors adorned with the era's most brilliant minds – writers, artists, philosophers, and thinkers – convening not merely for social engagements but to ignite spirited debates, exchange ideas, and mutually inspire one another.

Definition and Impact

The term 'salon' itself evokes this setting, derived from the Italian word 'salone,' meaning 'large hall' or 'reception room,' underscoring its communal and welcoming ambiance.

Role of Women in Salons

The women who curated these salons wielded significant influence, guiding conversations, fostering connections, and pivotally shaping the intellectual landscape of their time. They transformed their residences into bastions of enlightenment, where witty repartee intersected with profound discussions and where many of the epoch's seminal ideas were initially conceived.

Legacy of the Salons

These salons transcended mere social gatherings, spearheaded by visionary women who left an indelible mark on their era's cultural and intellectual trajectory.

What are Lilith Salons?
The Lilith Salons

The Lilith Salons are in-depth, multi-month courses that emerge independently from my flagship 9-month program, Unveiling Lilith, at The Lilith Academy.
Accessibility and Standalone Value
Crafted as accessible standalone experiences, these Salons delve into specific topics that complement the main course and stand strong on their own. Even if participants haven't completed Unveiling Lilith, they'll find these Salons engaging and enriching.
Focused Explorations
Each Salon invites participants to embark on a focused exploration, providing a deeper dive into the subjects within a smaller, cohort-based environment. This makes them ideal for newcomers and those seeking to expand upon the groundwork laid in the Magnum Opus Program.
Continuation and Depth
These Salons pick up where Unveiling Lilith leaves off, offering an opportunity to explore topics in greater depth, as we can only provide a cursory overview of the subjects we introduce in the main program.

Lilith Salons:
An Organized Journey into Feminine Esoterica
The Role of Lilith Salons in Feminine Exploration
Purpose and Context
Lilith Salons are part of a greater feminine-centered esoteric ecosystem aimed at navigating the often chaotic realm of the feminine. They serve as a guide to navigating the myriad aspects of the feminine psyche that reside in the collective shadows of the Western unconscious. In these Lilith Salons, like the salons in France, we fearlessly delve into these hidden realms, exploring each facet as philosophers on its terms.
Creating a Safe Space
These Salons provide a safe space where we can confront the elements of the feminine that society tends to relegate to the shadows. Here, we embrace the complexity and depth of what's hidden behind the veil, the feminine experience, acknowledging its power and significance.
Transformative Journey
Highlighting these overlooked aspects can help us gain insight and understanding into ourselves and the world around us. These Salons offer a transformative journey of exploration, allowing us to embrace the full spectrum of the feminine and integrate it meaningfully into our lives.
Flexible Design and Practical Application
This design is intentionally flexible to meet you at any stage of your esoteric exploration. It aims to equip you with the skills to apply occult knowledge practically in your life.
Outcomes and Growth
This approach helps one recognize Lilith's presence in society and within oneself and fosters profound personal and scholarly growth.
Current Salons offered at The Lilith Academy:
Winter Hermeticism
I don't know about you, but I'm worn out by the constant barrage of political and religious dogma. Divisions have turned into deep, painful wounds. In our post-modern world, we're bombarded with endless paradoxes. How do we handle these contradictions? How can we bridge the gaps between rigid beliefs to find a way to reconcile these opposites meaningfully? Ancient Hermeticism, like other aspects of antiquity, isn't confined to the past; it lives and breathes through us now in new forms, languages, and symbols. I think the answer might be to return to our roots, to "ad fontes," a principle that inspired the thinkers of the Renaissance. This return to the source could be our path forward, helping us find common ground through a philosophical outlook that helps to enhance critical thinking and common sense.
Mary Magdalene in Dystopia
Growing up Chicana, the Virgin Mary was a constant presence in my devout Catholic family, symbolizing an impossible purity. Yet, my grandmother, a curandera, blended indigenous medicine with Catholic mysticism, embodying a mix of old and new worlds. This fusion deeply influenced my view of femininity. While mainstream culture embraced the Virgin Mary, akin to Eve, as the standard of virtue, Mary Magdalene drew me in with her pathway to deeper wisdom hidden behind cultural veils. This contrast between accepted and esoteric female figures sparked my quest to reevaluate traditional narratives about women's sanctity and sin, exploring a richer, more authentic understanding of their virtue.
Sex & Judgement, The Conversation
In 2007, I shot a photodocumentary series at a gentlemen's club in Austin, Texas, not realizing it would eventually inspire The Lilith Academy 17 years later. This project, titled "Sex and Judgement," was the start of an enlightening journey. I aimed to cast light on sex workers—a group often pushed to the margins—through visual storytelling. Working both as a photographer and a stripper, I had a unique perspective, splitting my world between two lockers: one for my camera and the other for my bikinis. The experiences and insights gained led to the founding of The Lilith Academy, driven by a desire to transform the western feminine consciousness. The academy explores how societal and religious biases have historically scapegoated and undermined women, particularly those considered outsiders.
